the model who believes "pregnancy is the new chanel bag" looks stunning in her eighth month out and about in new york city this week. pregnancy definitely becomes her.
"a front row filled with stuffed animals, an invitation made from a napkin tied around a set of silverware and an open delivery truck with runway models flowing out of the back are just a few examples of how the moschino brand continues to harness humor in the name of fashion."

"you have to remember that when you are a performer you become a celebrity, but you are not saving lives. it's not that important."
- victoria beckham
victoria beckham was spotted leaving claridge's hotel wearing a dress from her best friends, dolce and gabbana. even though it wasn't one of her own, she made it hers by accessorising with a black birkin and trib two's. i wonder how many different variations she has of both..? it boggles the mind.

"pets are family members, they are not toys and tools. having a pet is a life-long commitment."
walking past a pet store today, my heart could not help but go out to this poor little maltese puppies caged up in his pen. as much as i wanted to, i did not buy the weeny bugger as animals are not earrings and should not be purchased on an impulse. household pets have also been unfortunate victims of the financial tsunami with expatriate families returning home but leaving their furry friends behind or laid off owners no longer being able to afford the costly upkeep. stories of people dropping off their dogs at the beautician never to return are all too common now. if you are thinking about adopting, please make sure you are prepared for the commitment required to love and care for your pet. his is a little life too.

"i wore this last saturday? i think? or five years ago? or something?"
- tavi, the "tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats"
isaac locke talks child bloggers in today’s lfw daily: “even though they’re only just starting to get attention, the days of the mini-blogger are numbered. once you get over the novelty, there’s actually nothing all that interesting in the innermost thoughts of a kid who’s discovering fashion for the first time. the qualified opinion of a life-long expert is more relevant.... internet 3.0 should be quality content by relevant commentators! so enjoy it while you can, amazing/terrifying mini-bloggers; the real world is on its way!” and whatever happened to school..?
"the saleswoman offered me a pair of sockettes to try on with my shoes and brought out a new pair fresh from its packet."
- nudnik on why on pedder is unexpectedly awesome
according to butterboom, the on pedder flagship at wheelock house is soon no longer to be. on 1 october it will relocate to the first floor of joyce's 18 queen's road central store.
"a designer really needs to spend five or 10 years learning the craft, learning the business. sometimes you can get someone who has become a huge star overnight, but it is so rare that that works. sometimes a lack of understanding, a certain naïvety about the business can be refreshing, but it so often doesn’t work. people can get carried away with what is new and young and different, but unless you are someone like marc jacobs, you should think long and hard. so many are struggling."
- anna wintour talks to the telegraph's hilary alexander about scoping out young talent
i've been to shows where a heavily-entouraged anna wintour has breezed in to her front row seat well past the 10th look so imagine my surprise when this photo popped up on nymag. here, anna is berrying quietly as she waits for the marios schwab show to start. oh, how the tides have turned....
