fresh off the korean courier boat!! check out my brand new, hand made pumps and ballets!! comfiest shoes ever with design elements that could rival - well, let's face it, we all know who - though at a FRACTION of the cost. despite standing a full 4" taller in the platform pumps, my centre of gravity remains very stable and the arch of my foot is not at all strained. same with the jewelled peep toes. the flats come with padded insoles and, on the bottom, reinforced front and heel areas. gotta get your hands on a pair? i know a guy....

louboutins need just as much care (if not more) as any other shoe - so why don't any cobblers in hong kong offer red soles? although it is slightly tedious to have to take every pair to new york at the end of each season, i can vouch that it is totally worth it. the guys at arty's shoe service (243 eighth avenue - between 22nd and 23rd streets) really want the best for your shoes. i handed this pair over (after shot above), the man at the counter took one look and he said to me, "you did the right thing by brining them here." sweet as pie. their services are a little pricey at usd30 a pop but they definitely pay attention to detail - my shoes were returned well-finished (they edged the new red plastic in black so that the addition was not at all obvious) and repaired the leather which had been scraped off the heel (i didn't even have to ask). if your pair simply cannot survive the trip, scarlet undercarriages are available on ebay.

topshop continues to out-do itself with its speedy reactions to market trends.  this thigh-high britney boot in polyurethane (the nubuck version is much more fashion) comes with a 1.5" platform and a 4.5" heel and "tightly fitting" shaft - perfect for attaching suspenders to.  at usd250, that's not too much damage.  unfortunately, they only ship to the uk and us.  anyone travelling any time soon?

despite the T3 last friday night, awfully chocolate's second caine road location opened with great aplomb.  their new chocolate ice-cream (SOOOO creamy) also made it's debut at the event alongside it's seasoned sibling cakes - chocolate, banana and raisin/cherry.  congrats to the brains behind it all - sisters, regina and carolina - who knew not only how to throw a good party but to coordinate appropriate rain-proof/running-around/ceremony-worthy footwear.  check out their matching jewelled and studded flat sandals.  cute!!  chocolate never looked so good.
